On our recent adventures I had the opportunity to tramp around Seattle. I really love that city! There is so much to do and see there. And yes, I previously posted photos of the city that caught my eye and provided some inspiration. But this trip I was able to go to the Chihuly Gardens and Glass. It is not a large place, but packed into this little gem was more inspiration than one could take in.
Yes, everyone knows Chihuly’s work, the color . . . the movement . . . . the shapes . . . . it makes my heart go pitter-patter!!
But in the garden setting, it was interesting to step back and notice how the gardens and glass sculptures were designed to work together. The glass sculptures are the first things you notice, but then you realize the background setting is just as impressive. The flowers and foliage have their own color, movement, and shapes . . . . all coordinated with the glass sculptures. Many of the plants I have never seen before or could have imagined.
If you ever have a chance to go, I strongly recommend it. But don’t rush . . . take your time . . . . and enjoy!!
